By: Lori Mueller, YouthZone Executive Director

I am writing to inform you about some changes in YouthZone’s fee for services for school referrals. For the past few years we have had the pleasure of using grant money that helped reduce our fee’s to a minimal $25 for any clients referred from the school. Unfortunately, those grant dollars are not available any longer for the overall reduction of fees for all clients. At this time YouthZone has created a financial assistance request process that clients who are in need of financial help may apply for. I have attached the request form so you can easily access.

YouthZone has enjoyed the work we have accomplished together in supporting youth and their families in our communities and we look forward to many more years of such great collaboration. Our intention is to continue to provide all of our services to all who request them and that those families who need financial assistance will receive it. We kept the process very simple and we are committed to responding quickly to all requests.

YouthZone has a variety of proven intervention and prevention programs. Because of the uniqueness of each youth and their circumstances, it is most effective to have a menu of interventions to choose from. Our staff are highly trained and skilled in case management and youth advocacy and can provide thorough family and youth assessments along with a variety of programs. These include but are not limited to: life skills groups, substance abuse education, restorative justice, family mediation, parent education and counseling.

The goal for YouthZone is continued outreach and advocacy with schools to implement system changes that would result in early interventions for appropriate youth.

Again, thank you for the good work that you do and for the good work we are doing together. Please feel free to contact me with questions.
